End of The Road?

It has been almost a year since we made the short trip to Loughborough. Although COVID severely disrupted our journey, we persevered to the end, albeit remotely.
We physically covered a total distance of 1632 miles, plus a few virtual trips.
We had been West to Oldham, North to Gateshead and South to Northampton (ironically). I'm not sure that we went very far East or which ground was the most Easterly.
We experienced a glut of goals, a rarity of replays, delicious dinner, burnt burgers and horrible hospitality in an assortment of arenas.
It has been fun and frustrating, disappointing that we were unable to make it all the way, and now our adventure has ended.
OR HAS IT?
After the final, the FA confirmed that the competition for 2020-21 will maintain its existing structure, with the extra preliminary qualifying round due to take place on 1st September. It is unlikely that spectators will be allowed at this stage but, hopefully, this will change as the season progresses.
We are looking at the local teams, to pick our starting point. Maybe we will revisit Loughborough University, although there are plenty of other clubs nearby.
Whoever we choose and whatever the restrictions, we will, once again, be part of the process. Fingers crossed.
OUR ROAD GOES ON ...
